Comprehensive Match Score Evaluation in Reltio and Informatica Using Diverse Data Variations

In the evolving landscape of Master Data Management (MDM), achieving accurate and consistent entity matching is critical for maintaining high-quality, trusted data. To evaluate the effectiveness of two leading MDM platforms — Reltio and Informatica — we conducted a detailed comparison of their matching frameworks using a wide range of data variations and real-world scenarios.

Our analysis covered multiple match tokens and comparators to measure how each platform interprets and scores potential record matches. The dataset was intentionally designed to include phonetic name differences, alias and nickname variations, typographical errors, structural inconsistencies, and suffix or prefix changes that commonly occur in enterprise data.

Each test scenario was assessed to observe match score behavior, rule sensitivity, and overall matching accuracy. The findings were compiled in a consolidated results sheet — “Match Score Analysis Reltio & Informatica.” — providing a clear view of how both platforms respond to complex matching conditions.

This evaluation not only highlights the comparative strengths of Reltio and Informatica but also offers valuable insights for data stewards, architects, and MDM teams looking to optimize matching rules, enhance deduplication, and improve data quality outcomes across their ecosystems.
