Blumetra’s BIRD (Building Inclusive and Resourceful Dreams) is a dedicated initiative focused on advancing education for young students, ensuring they have access to the same opportunities, exposure, and aspirations as their peers in private schools.
Driven entirely by our employees, this initiative sees 100% participation, with team members contributing their time, effort, and financial support to make a lasting impact on young minds. The initiative is managed by an employee-led committee, reflecting our commitment to hands-on involvement and community empowerment.
Project ZPHS Medipalle
Project ZPHS Medipalle
After a careful selection process involving inputs from expert educators and local stakeholders, Blumetra has chosen Zilla Parishad Government High School (ZPHS) in Medipalle Village, Moinabad Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, Telangana, India, as our inaugural CSR project.
Challenges Identified: The school faces significant challenges, including inadequate infrastructure, poor sanitation, insufficient ventilation, lack of running water, and the absence of basic amenities like toilets, a kitchen, and designated hand wash areas.
Scope of Engagement
Our engagement focuses on upgrading the school’s infrastructure and becoming a long-term partner in its development.
School Overview
Approximately 230 students (over 50% girls)
10 teachers (30% hired on a voluntary basis)
Grades 1-10 (English Medium)
Project planning & Execution – Year 2023
Infrastructure Upgrade Scope:
Toilet Reconstruction
Rebuilding and upgrading sanitary facilities.
Kitchen Renovation
Complete overhaul of the kitchen, including new flooring and ceiling.
Window Replacement
Installing new UPVC windows to replace damaged wooden ones.
Waterproofing
Protecting the building from leaks to ensure dry, safe classrooms.
Play Area Creation
Establishing a dedicated play area for primary school students.
Door & Window Repairs
Fixing and maintaining all existing doors and windows.
Electrical Upgrades
Rewiring, replacing switchboards, & installing new fans & LED lights.
Plumbing Enhancements
Directing water supply to toilets, kitchen, and drinking water outlets.
Water Supply
Installing overhead tanks and connecting to the municipal water system.
Safety Measures
Installing protective grills to prevent unauthorized access.
Ongoing Engagement and Commitment
Team Blumetra is honored to participate in various events at ZPHS Medipalle, including cultural and motivational sessions. Our continuous engagement focuses on enhancing the school’s overall perception through door-to-door campaigns, where we encourage villagers to enroll their children and gather feedback for further improvements. Recently, students from grades 9 and 10 visited our office, where they interacted with our employees, played games, shared experiences, and enjoyed a delightful meal prepared by our team.
